Learning Enhancement Centre (LEC) Supporting students with a disability

The Learning Enhancement Centre (LEC) at Aldridge State High School offers a wide
range of support for students with the six recognised disabilities by Education Queensland. The support encompasses teacher aide in class support, modified classes in the core subject areas, alternate education program and a multi-level class.

Mainstream

The LEC supports students in mainstream classes. Mainstream support is on a needs basis and students are supported by teacher aides.

Modified Classes (core subject areas)

The LEC offers a modified class for all core subject areas. These classes are aimed at students who have varying levels of ability and struggle academically to keep up with their same aged peers. We have modified programs through all year levels 8 - 12. These modified classes still require participation and completion of assessment. The Modified Classes are aimed at a lower level than ‘mainstream’ classes.

You can view and download the LEC curriculum documents below.
